Every year – at the end of a year and start of a new year – I make it a point to outline all of my accomplishments. This is in no way meant to be a brag, rub in someones face or show-off about. This is about taking a moment to think back on every effort I’ve put forth and what that resulted in – big or small. And to make it fun, I try to line up the number of accomplishments with the significance of that year. So, this year it’s 21 accomplishments in 2021, but in 2018 it was 30 accomplishments by my 30th birthday – see what I did there?! And yes, I just gave up my age, but you all knew that already, right?! (Re: most Googled question about me “Priyanka Naik Age“)
The funny thing about these blog posts that I write yearly for the past 3-4 years, is apparently they offend some people. And I had no idea they do until someone brought it to my attention (they will be left unnamed). And I thought “why?” Why would someone’s accomplishments offend someone ELSE? And then it occurred to me that whomever those people are, are taking things personally and/or projecting their own insecurities. This yearly post is solely about me – not in the selfish “Oh, look at me!” way – but in a way that pushes me to reflect back on things that I’ve done, when normally I may not do that. And the WHOLE point of this blog post is to not only drive me to keep going, but to inspire others that taking time to reflect on and write down accomplishments is extremely therapeutic and helps one feel whole, purposeful and accomplished. And no one can take that away from you. Additionally, no one should be offended (unless I am doing something outright offensive, LOL).
So! Below are 21 things I accomplished in 2021 – some are huge (for me) and some may not be perceived as huge to others, but are for me.
